Results of Banks in India-Third Quarter ended December 2008 Canara Bank Net profit of Canara Bank rose 52.89% to Rs 701.50 crore in the quarter ended December 2008 as against Rs 458.83 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2007. Total operating income rose 30.29% to Rs 4625.44 crore in the quarter ended December 2008 as against Rs 3550.16 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2007. As on 26th February the stock closing price was Rs 161.10, and P/E was 3.6. The stock had 52 weeks High/Low of Rs 280/135. Central Bank of India Net profit of Central Bank of India rose 75.74 % to Rs 353.26 crore in the quarter ended December 2008 as against Rs 201.01 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2007. Total income rose to Rs 3,033.41 crore in the quarter ended December 2008 as against Rs 2,205.48 crore during the previous quarter ended December 2007.
