Banknet has instituted Banknet Excellence Awards, a first of its kind which will highlight individual, rather than organizational, performance in various sectors and facets of Banking Sector. It aims to set benchmarks for recognition of banking talent.
Personnel working at the top of the pyramid are generally faced with most challenging situations and also, it is to them that the bank can majorly attribute its successful performance to. Best performing banks are often accredited by various agencies, but individual faces behind these successful performances often go unnoticed.
We at Banknet believe that it is a call of time to take this step forward and recognize these talents in the banking sector. These awards will notice and acknowledge the real faces behind the success stories
Banknet Excellence Awards are created to recognize bankers and other financial practitioners, who have shown leadership and innovation and have also succeeded in adding additional dimensions to their scope of duties by integrating social, environmental and corporate governance considerations into their operations.
AWARD CATEGORIES:
Award categories that have been included reflect the shifting sands of the industry. No longer is there a generic set of functions denoting this sector – instead there is a vibrant arena of activities and specializations reflecting the banking industry. This vibrancy is well reflected by the categories of awards the “Banknet Excellence Awards” are covering this year.
Entries are being invited in the following nine functional categories and for overall excellence in banking i.e. Best CEO.

SELECTION PROCEDURE:
The selection procedure for the award would start with the first call of nominations from commercial banks and investment banks across India. The first level of filtration of the nominations would be based on broad parameters and a Banknet short-list comprising the top three to four names would be drawn out at this stage.
This Banknet shortlist would then be evaluated by a select panel of industry and non-industry experts to pick the best from among them for each category.
As it would be the individual, rather than the organization, whose nomination would be evaluated, it goes without saying that such person will be the ones heading the specific functions in the banks. These will be Business Heads, CXO’s, and the whole gamut of senior management. Individuals who would like to nominate themselves would need the endorsement of the organization.
